Memorial Day – All Souls Day – I would like to weep tears for you, as the pain urges them from the heart!
A day of remembrance, of tears that may finally flow, and of hope — with Master Reding. All Souls’ Day is not an ordinary day. It is the day when the veil between the worlds grows thin, when the living feel the nearness of the dead and the dead feel the warmth of the living. It is the day we understand: Our beloved departed are not gone — they have simply gone ahead.
As a ritual master, I carry on this day the unspoken words, the unwept tears, the gratitude and longing that the living hold in their hearts. We bless those we loved — and also those whom no one else remembers. And gently, silently, we rediscover a truth older than the world:
Love does not die. It only changes its form.
The Heart of All Souls’ Day – A Shared Breath Between Worlds
On this day, time stands still. We pause — and suddenly we hear memory breathing.
We feel again the hands that once held us. We hear the laughter, the kindness, the frailty of those who shaped our lives. And we whisper into the silence: You are not forgotten.
You are not abandoned. You are not alone.
All Souls’ Day is a sacred reunion — not a farewell, but a homecoming into remembrance and gratitude.
Prayer – When Heaven Touches Our Heart
Faithful Father in Heaven, all life springs from your hands and returns to your embrace. We stand on the threshold of remembrance — vulnerable, grateful, searching. Death has wounded us, yet love keeps us upright.
We ask you:
Bless those we miss; heal those who weep;
and illuminate the paths we cannot yet understand.Be strength in our helplessness,
light in our night,
and hope in our silence.
Meditation – For My Own Life Too Shall Fade
I stood at the borders of your fields,
beside your young green wheat…A small bird, fragile yet burning with life,
rises toward the light —
as if it wanted to pour its entire existence
into a single trembling wingbeat. We hear its song —
and suddenly we hear our own.
For this is the human path:
We rise, we burn, we hope,
we stumble, we falter,
and yet we rise again.Until one day
our own wings weaken,
our song softens,
and our light grows gentle. Then we too will descend —
scorched by life,
transformed by death,
carried home into that great silence
which destroys nothing
but completes everything.
“For my own life too shall fade and fall…” These are not words of fear, but of truth, peace, and returning home.
The Mystery of All Souls’ Day
This is the day on which we finally understand:
- that love is stronger than death
- that no one is forgotten
- that every tear has meaning
- that the dead are closer than ever
All Souls’ Day teaches us:
We are connected — beyond time, beyond separation, beyond endings.
Blessing for the Dead and the Living
Rest in light.
Rest in peace.
Rest in the heart of God, who never lost you.
And you who mourn:
Be carried.
Be held.
Be blessed.
For love binds more strongly than mortality.
